So we have noticed the struggle of not being able to see properly when in bright sunlight, or need night vision to avoid those hidden asteroids.
Look no further as this will help you install Reshade which will increase visuals of not only dimming bright lights but also making the game look extra crisp without any performance impact.
Step-1
Go to https://reshade.me/#download and download upto date Reshade.
Step-2
Make sure StarCitizen is closed and open Reshade.
Once open you need to find StarCitzen.exe file located in install location.
C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\LIVE\Bin64
Once you have StarCitizen selected click next button on the bottom right.
Step-3
For now you want to select directX 10/11/12 as thats what StarCitizen runs on. In the future this will be updated as they are moving to vulcan.
Step-4
Once on the next screen you will click next located down the bottom right.
Step-5
Now it will ask the game packages you wish to install.
Top right you will see uncheck all.
Click it and click it again to select all effects so the will all be installed.
Step-6
Now that reshade is installed you need the preset's. Download the preset's here

Save it to desktop.
Step-7
Now go to
C:\Program Files\Roberts Space Industries\StarCitizen\LIVE\Bin64Drag and drop all files from the zip file into the Bin64.
Launch StarCitizen and allow reshade to compile all shaders.
YOUR GAME MAY CRASH THIS IS NORMAL ON FIRST TIME BOOT.
Step-8
Once its finished compiling shades press HOME button on your keyboard.
it will ask if you want a tutorial just skip it. Then to change presets follow video posted below.
Now you have successfully installed Reshade.
